Our speaker this week- Holly owns a marketing company. She has been doing it for 15 years. There's been a lot of change. One of the questions she gets a lot, is social media important?  62% of the population uses it 2 hours and 30 minutes a day. Internet users are often online 7 hours a day!! Holly helps to get people's eyeballs on her client's pages. Social media is faster than any newspaper or any other form of news. This is helpful in a crisis, but it can be helpful in our day-to-day life.

54% of social media users research products online. Word of mouth on social media is super effective. It's important to have your information available online. One of the ways you can help your business is to by being consistent. The more you post the move people will hear about you. If you do not post for 6 months people start to wonder if you are still in business. During the winter things are even more active online.

AI is becoming more prominent as well. It is going to use data that is already on the web to answer your questions. Google Business is a useful tool as well and it is free. You can keep your business information updated. Photos are a powerful tool as well. Restaurants need to have a picture of their food to be effective. You can list your services. Reviews are important and the more you get the more effective your business will be. You can put an option to give a review on your email. This makes it easy for clients.
Example of a review- a roofer called and talked about a bad review that wasn't even one of his customers. She encouraged him to just respond and then let it go. Even a bad review can be helpful because then people who like your business will defend you.

Let go of fear and just launch an online presence. Facebook and google both have AI searches. Add key words in your google search so your content is more available. AI can help with personalizing your online presence. Video is definitely trending and makes your business look authentic. Purchase a cordless mic- This is a great tool for filming behind the scenes. 7 in 10 teens spend 3 hours daily watching videos. The more you post online the more head space you take up when people are looking for a specific service. We work in an era where people do not expect perfection with online videos and pictures. Make sure you are the administrator for your own Facebook sights as well as your web page.
