- Dusty was born and raised in the area.
- Graduate of Faribault and attended Lincoln Elementary School and the old middle school.
- Went to Ely and Albert Lea for college courses.
- Dusty’s family lives on County Road 9. His family includes his wife Anne and their sons Hunter (25) and Bo (21)
- Dusty and his family love the outdoors.
- They hunt, fish, and also manage land. Dusty takes care of 100+ wood duck houses annually throughout the county,
- His family has Labrador retrievers at home and he shared a picture of the two of them
- Talked about how his family enjoys shopping for shoes and hoodies
- His wife Anne is a pre school teacher at Divine Mercy Catholic School and has been there over 20 years. She is well known as Ms. Anne!
- His sons work in town. Hunter works at Met Con and Bo works at Cedar Lake Electric
- Dusty has worked in the area a long time in various roles.
- He worked at the Rice County Soil and Water Conservation Department for 4.5 years.
- He worked for Sammon Flooring for 10 years, Bob’s Electric for 14 years, and has been with the Faribault Fire Department for nearly 31 years.
- Dusty is experienced in working as an electrician and later said he might get back to doing more of that work in the coming years.
- Dusty spoke of his dedication to our community by coming to work and daily putting service above self. He talked about never knowing what type of call might come in each day.
- Dusty is a leader in public safety in our community and plans to continue to do so for a couple more years.
- Dusty answered several questions from Rotarians after his presentation.
