- Overall during this presentation, David went over various areas of Rotary and his vision for the next year.
- He went over his path to Rotary and wants to motivate others to embrace the learning of what Rotary does – he values all of you Rotarians and expressed it being an honor to be President this year.
- He understands that all are busy and that in Rotary “you are all volunteers”
- Some things he mentioned to describe Faribault Rotary included: Youth Focused, Genuinely focused on the 4-way test, and a care for Virtues.
- Some Rotary accolades he mentioned included the Strive program, Rotary Camp efforts, Blood Drive efforts, Warm our Community, and the Little Falcons program, just to name a few.
- David went over some objectives for 2024 like Connecting as Rotarians, remaining Youth focused, and wanting to really listen to suggestions that Rotarians have already provided and new ones that come up for the direction the club goes.
- He wants Rotary to be a safe space for all to share and submit things you would like to share or have presented to the group
- David wants to be a conduit to help Faribault Rotary reach its goals for service and goals on how to help our community.
- He talked about the new weekly Thursday AM meetings and also there will be an end of the month evening meeting at Crooked Pint. Details coming via email.
- David also wants the weekly meetings to be considerate of everyone’s time and with that said, he concluded the meeting right on time today!
- David did a good job summarizing his vision for this year and today was a good meeting to kick start this next year!
