- Affective Polarization is when emotional attachment related to one side of an opinion occurs. As a result, we increase our own opinion/side and minimize the other party.

- Braver Angels tries to understand the other's point of view even if we don't agree with it
- They engage those they disagree with, with the goal of looking for common ground
