Hala Alharthi

Hala classification speech. Hala is the owner of Little Scholars Early Childhood Center
            ⁃           Born in Saudi Arabia
            ⁃           Mother is Somalia and father is Saudi
            ⁃           Although her mother only had a 3rd grade education, she speaks 4 languages and is doing very well and lives with her in Faribault 
            ⁃           Grew up near Columbus, Ohio
Married Mahad in 2020
            ⁃           mother of 2 boys
Graduated High School in Ohio
            ⁃           earned a business administration bachelor’s degree
            ⁃           Plan to pursue to master’s degree in Business administration
Hala’s passion for early childhood was based on her upbringing. Hala helped raise her younger sisters and her mother only went to school for a short time. Hala mentioned most providers are responsive and not proactive.
Hala explained her role as a business owner for an early childhood education business owner.
            ⁃           it is not just daycare
            ⁃           Significant development of the brain takes place before the age of 5
            ⁃           Children should feel supported and should be encouraged to develop independently
            ⁃           As the owner she is charge of everything
            ⁃           There is a lot of things that happen behind the scenes
            ⁃           Payroll, policies, schedules, billing and creating intentional relationships with families
Hala’s child care center has a no screen time policy.
Hala believes one of the best investments we can make is in our children!
