  • Program: David Connelly, District 5960: A New Approach to Membership
    • The district has implemented a 3-year plan moving forward
    • “FUN” is emphasized in many clubs.
    • How is Rotary gaining new members?  Why is Rotary declining (overall) in membership?
    • We need to adapt to an ever-changing world, while honoring long-standing traditions
    • Rotary is a Resource to:
      • Promote people’s passions
      • Bring people together
      • Provide personal development
      • Engage with the community (service above self)
    • Top two reasons people join Rotary:
      • Meet new service-minded people
      • Get involved in their community
    • Invite the public to help with a service project
    • Invite friends/colleagues to join you for a club meeting, project or event.
      • They may not show up, but they definitely will not show up if they are not invited!
