- Virtue Reading: Empathy, read by Brandon Gliem. Brandon shared personal examples of empathy and how this has grown and developed in his life.

- News and Notes:
--Rose Sale Update - there were more than 800 dozen roses sold. If you have not turned in your money please do so ASAP to Murray or Brenda!
--STRIVE update: There were 30 students at the meeting on Oct 23rd and Rotarians in attendance as well including Scott Olson, Mark Kenney, Nathanial Cunningham, Zak Branham, Brandom Gliem, and Laura Bock. It was an inspiring and practical session. The next session on October 30th will be held at 7am at South Central College and Laura Bock will give another introduction to Rotary.
--Rotary Concert will be held on November 25th at 7pm. There will be a free-will offering to support student scholarships at this concert.
--Upcoming Service opportunities include an American Red Cross Blood Drive on November 8th, and Salvation Army Bell Ringing on November 23rd.
You can connect with Mark Kenney to sign up if you are unable to sign up at meetings! Meals on Wheels is still needing volunteers. We will not be doing Meals on Wheels as a club-wide effort anymore, but you can still volunteer as an individual if this interests you.
--Faribault Rotary Youth Services (FRYS) provided a monthly report which was approved by the club. This was also emailed to all members.
Fellowship: Led by Murray Hanson. Extended fellowship and trivia about various Rotarians (including Chad Koepke and his pet parrot) was held in lieu of a formal program. Visitor Charlie Cogan from Northfield wanted to highlight that the second round of vaccinations is underway in the Gaza area.
