Murray went to Boston two weeks ago. Greg Ciesluk is from Boston! The roads were very curvy and difficult. He shared with the group about the various ways Boston folks spoke words. One of these being Ciesluk. Murray was able to find the correct pronunciation-
Ciesluk- Hawdluk! Greg's face and State Farm was posted on the Green Monstaah at Fenway Park, or that's what the (authentic) photoshopped picture showed us.
Mahad was at the blood drive and says the experience was fun!
Gail was on a cruise and is happy to be back!
Dick Huston updated us on his prairie. The Wild Ones, a group interested in pollinators, came to help and take the prairie ride. High School and an environmental class are coming to visit. Several people coming to visit the prairie. After 25 years of work, it is really rewarding to see how beautiful the land has become. The year of rain has been very beneficial to the land.
Rod gave a shout out to all the sport teams who were successful over the weekend.
Brandon talked about the MN Twins. Trying to keep the Red Sox out of the playoffs. The games have been really fun to watch.
Greg shared how Boston residents pronounce Sox = Sauks
Pastor Mark mentioned his trip to southern California. This Saturday at 3pm there is a concert The Faribault Lakelanders- proceed go to none profits in the area. Hope in Harmony is the theme! He also updated us on Feed the World offering- after the first week there was $800,000 donated! The idea is to donate one day's wage towards Feeding the World.
Jan's two grandkids came down with Covid and they are finally feeling better.
Laura thanked Holly for running the website for Warm our Community. She also invited everyone to 100 Women Who Care October 6th! October 24th- 100 Men on a Mission! $5,000 will be donated to a none profit to be determined that night!
George encourages everyone to support the Hope Center and Ruth's House by going to the concert on Saturday! There was also a nice article about Dick's prairie. We need to focus on our environment!
David complimented his own sweater! Which made everyone laugh. He also updated us on how terrible the White Sox are.
