  • Fellowship with Brandon Gliem:
    • Kathy Wickwire – welcomed our guests and invited everyone to come see Eclipse tomorrow night at Central Park after the Pet Parade!
    • Dr. Dick Huston – thanks for the cooks today for a great meal.  Also invited everyone to thank the 3rd floor city hall workers for volunteering to maintain Crocker’s Creek for us.
    • Brandon asked Charlie what his favorite pitch is…. which he said is a knuckle curve.
    • Kymn Anderson – thanks for the awesome food, great program, and welcome to our guests.
    • Natalie Halverson – thanks for the great to Night to Unite events in town and mentioned the groundbreaking ceremony today for Ridgeview Heights!
    • Kurt Halverson – phenomenal food today!  He also shared a recent parenting story about doorbell incident with his daughter and her friend. The two claimed to be ringing a neighbor’s doorbell and doing a dance for them on camera, but Kurt and Natalie quickly determined it was a ring the neighbor’s doorbell and run instead!  Kurt addressed the issue with the girls and appreciated Natalie’s help with handling the situation.
    • Jan Kjergaard – had a fantastic trip to Ireland and Scotland, climbed up 139 steps to kiss the Blarney stone.  She also shared more details about her trip.  Unfortunately, when she got home from the trip, she got sick with Covid for 3 weeks.
    • Paul LaRoche – thanks to Charlie for being here and for all that he and the Faribault baseball coaches do at various age levels in Faribault.
    • Erica Staab-Absher – thanks to Dr Huston for helping her daughter’s plant, it is doing great!  Also shared that her recent Rotary guest, Drea, is considering joining the Grantsburg Rotary club!
    • Brandon – the Pet Parade is tomorrow and it is a lot of fun each year.  Beach Party theme.  Encourages everyone to participate or attend.
    • George Wickstrom – encourages everyone to watch Fox 97 for the best climate updates.
    • Greg Ciesluk – wanted to share an important story of his involving baseball.  Some years ago, he and David Connelly were attending a Lakers baseball game.  Greg was telling David how much a classification speech he heard at Rotary had really impressed him.  He told David he wished he could know how to contact that Rotarian to say what a good job they did on their speech.   David told Greg about the ClubRunner app and how he could contact the person.  The person was Rebekah Freed.  Greg ended up contacting her and the rest is history.  They were married not too long after!
    • Kay Hoaglin – had a great trip on Route 66.  She was very appreciative of a young man that her daughter and Greg knew who recently came over to her house and fixed her air conditioner!

  • Four Way Test Dismissal
    • Today’s meeting was adjourned by President Kenney after all Rotarians again read the 4-way test.
