Mark Kenney talked about his wife's job. He complimented Marv Schrader, who had a matching shirt on. Then it was discovered that Marv had a close call with the food heater flame at the Inn. While he'll need to purchase new pants, we are grateful he is ok and didn't burn his skin at all.
Gail Kaderlik talked about the FATE foundation- 73 applications 66 awarded- 40 of those go to Faribault students She is excited to be headed to take care of her grandbabies! She might not be at Rotary as often, but family is important, and she is thrilled to have more grandma time.
Dr. Dick Huston talked about the garden and the partnership with the Cambodians. The bantering of ties with Dr. Hanson continues and, as always, provides lots of comedic relief to everyone at the weekly meetings. We are also grateful for Dr. Huston's restoration of the "take a book" box. Dr. Huston does a lot for Rotary and we are so grateful for him!
Rod Mahler will be honored on Saturday night at FB Highschool!
Kymn Anderson put in one happy dollar for Marv's pants. She talked about the Easter service at the Mill City. She also expressed congratulations to Ellie.
Greg Ciesluk came back from his hometown Easter celebration. He is excited to be headed out on a cruise this week.
George wouldn't give any money to happy dollars until he saw the burn hole Marv's pants.
Kay Hoaglin is headed to TX and Missouri for her Granddaughter's wedding. She will not be here next week and appreciates any help with the back table roles. Hope you have a great time, Kay! Kay does sooooooo much for Rotary! We are so grateful for her 'service above self'.
David Connelly took Willow to see her favorite animal- a sloth baby! Unfortunately, they saw the giraffe pass away at the Como Zoo.
