  • Opening:  Welcome from President David Connelly, Pledge of Allegiance, Four Way Test, Let’s Sing
  • Invocation: Sommer Cunningham
  • Virtue: Courage by Chad Koepke.  Chad read the virtue and also provided some personal thoughts on what Courage means to him.
  • Fellowship with Brandon Gliem:
    • Opening of the Rotary camp will be in the next few weeks sometime, more notice will be given soon.
    • Guests welcomed: Tim Penny-guest speaker.  Student guests Avery, Brianna and Willow.
    • Sommer Cunningham – happy to be here today with the student guests.  She explained a mission trip the students are raising money for.  They are preparing for a mission trip through River Valley Church where they will be going to Indianapolis.  They are selling wonderful coffee to raise money if anyone is interested!
    • As Fellowship continued, Rotarians were asked to talk about what is great about Spring to them.
    • David – thanked Willow for helping out with Let’s Sing today.
    • Mark Kenney –just got home from beautiful Florida late last evening where he had a relaxing time.  He also mentioned an upcoming Easter Egg Hunt at River Valley Church on Saturday 4/12 at 10am.
    • Kurt Halverson- since our song today was from the Muppets, he asked Willow her favorite Muppet character.  Kurt then spoke about Courage and shared a recent story about his daughter Harper.  They recently got a lawn mower that needs some work.  The lawn mower motor is a Briggs and Stratton “Courage” model.  Kurt is hoping they have the courage to fix the motor!
    • Kathy Wickwire – expressed her enjoyment of the spring snow after being in Florida for many years.  Kathy then talked about the show that she and Martha will be playing in at the Paradise this weekend and next.  She knows it will be a good show and is looking forward to seeing some of you there!
    • Rod Mahler – happy to be here today – he was excited to point out Dr. Huston’s MN Gophers tie and socks.
    • Kymn Anderson – shared that yesterday she was with her granddaughter who really enjoyed the snow.  Kymn had a slow drive home, though, due to the bad roads.  It took her 2 hours to get home!  Kymn also thanked Tim Penny for being here and for his leadership.
    • Greg Ciesluk – Spring means baseball to him and following his favorite Boston team.  Spring also makes him think about Easter Sunday – this year he will be celebrating in Massachusetts with family.
    • George Wickstrom – reflected on the Spring of 1938 – George has memory of trying to go to the Snow White show with his family in Illinois.  There was a bad snow storm that brought very deep snow.  George recalled there being so much snow there was only one car width plowed on the roads in certain areas and they had to honk their horn to warn other motorists when going through that area.
