STRIVE students were asked to introduce themselves and say what their plans are for college next year. All of them talked about their future plans and how they will be continuing their education at various colleges!
Some Rotarians shared how times have changed since they were the age of the STRIVE students and others thanked students for attending and wished them all the best in their futures!
Guests from the FHS staff introduced themselves to the group as well.
President Connelly shared a story from last weekend when he and Kristen attended a Hot Air balloon event in Wisconsin. In summary, they met a man named Tedd who had a decal from Wyoming displayed that they recognized. They connected as Kristen is also originally from Wyoming. The more they spoke, the more they connected, and Tedd noticed David’s rotary pin. Tedd was a Rotarian himself and also spent time in Austin MN where David is originally from. They talked and had many connections with different places each of them has been. David told Rotarians this story because it shows how wearing your Rotary pin can spark conversations wherever you go and the persons you can meet and connect with regularly. This was a great story to share with Rotarians and STRIVE students!
