The Corning Rotary Club would like to thank the community for supporting the 18th Annual International Dinner, on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Radisson Hotel Corning, 125 Denison Parkway East, Corning, NY. The International Dinner is Corning Rotary’s signature event and largest fundraiser of the year. This year the event raised nearly $27,000, with proceeds going to support international projects benefiting education, disaster relief, and world community needs.
The 2018 Honorary Chair was Thomas Tranter, Jr., president of Corning Enterprises and Director of Community and Government Affairs. The event featured cuisine from around the world, including Italy, Brazil, Lebanon, Thailand, and Russia. Guests enjoyed international cocktails and bid on both silent and live auction items. Entertainment was provided by Sonidos Unidos, a multifaceted group that plays traditional Latin Music and also covers Pop and Jazz tunes with a Latin feel. Shreya Sharma, granddaughter of Dr. Hari Sharma, founder of the International Service Committee, also delighted the audience with the beautiful dance of Nepal.

This evening of international cuisine, dance, and music celebrates local diversity while supporting numerous humanitarian efforts abroad. Together, with the support of the community, Corning Rotary is making a difference both locally and globally.
