Our meeting this week was a club assembly, as there was a Board meeting on Monday night. Thanks to Phil B for running the meeting in my absence. It was my pleasure to induct John Horton as a new member this week. John is a past member of Rotary and is very enthusiastic about Rotary and how he can contribute to our club. Welcome John.A big thank you to David Golland and the Scholarship Committee for their great work in reinstating and revamping the Noel Barnes Scholarship program. Scholarships will now be offered to a student in financial need at seven high schools in Wagga. The Board approved a Peace Day nomination for Karen Kime. Karen is a semi retired Anglican Priest and community worker who has an impressive list of achievements including being the first female aboriginal to become an Archdeacon in the Anglican Church. We hope to have Karen as a guest speaker in the near future. Please contact Geoff Breust if you have a travel or other experience you would like to share with the club.Have a great week.
