Hi Everyone,
Today was the oddest meeting I have been at with only 20 people allowed. Apparently it will be the same next week.

You will be pleased to know that the change over dinner for 2022 has been booked for Tuesday the 28th of June 2022. I realise this is early but first in best dressed. It is at the same venue at the RSL Club where we had the last one. Provisionally it is booked for 95 people, the same as last year; this of course can vary.
To those on Zoom today I hope it went OK. Like a lot of people I am a bit over Zoom. We entered the pub by the corner door where they checked for double immunisation. I sincerely hope all members are now fully immunised for COVID, both for your protection and admission to meetings. It will be interesting to see if attaching it to the QR we use will obviate 2 steps and make it one. ( apparently Wagga is a trial town for this).
Doug Sutton gave an interesting history of Rotary in Nazi Germany. They had to exclude Jews and be very careful, but still ran foul of the Nazis despite being careful and were banned by 1937. Also it appeared the Catholic Church had its ups and downs with rotary as well, but eventually it was sorted out and supported by the church, even having the Pope address us at one time
.
Guest speaker Grant Luhrs was a delightful guest and regaled us with interesting stories and song. I hope those on ZOOM enjoyed it as well.
There will be a board meeting next Monday night so could all involved please attend with there reports.
Have a great week everyone.
President Richard
