Volunteers assist widows and orphans from all wars and is most worthy of your support. Get your tickets from Doug or Legacy House. To celebrate 100 years of Legacy there will be a torch relay that commences on 23rd April visiting London, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and the East Coast. BON VOYAGE PHIL MCINTOSH

Phil and wife Lynette are off to Italy for an exciting holiday but meanwhile he has tasked David Byfield with supervising the decluttering of the Storage Container in the Myer car park. The container itself requires repair and Mark Hillis has volunteered to assist. The men's shed which has a welding shop may also be a source of assistance.
Phil thanked the Gears and Beers Committee Members for their commitment and enthusiasm. He said our event will have a presence at the Beechworth Granite Classic and hopefully will attract more riders from that event to attend our festival. Next meeting of the Gears and Beers Committee will be in July.
FOUNDATION DIRECTORS REPORT

Director John Egan spoke about his portfolio, the Rotary Foundation and Australian Rotary Heath. The Rotary Foundation is Rotary's own charity. It is supported by all clubs and has accumulated a vast sum of $1.2 billion US. The money is used for the betterment of people's lives the world over. One of the major expenses is the Portfolio Plus campaign which costs hundreds of millions of dollars. The Rotary Foundation distributes funds through local clubs via District and Global Grants. Our Club, Wollundry, has participated in a number of such grants including grants to Cambodia and a Global Grant of approx $US 40,000 to assist widows and orphans of the ongoing war in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Our Club has also given approx. $40,000 toward a scholarship to research Melanoma Cancer. This was to both honour our late member Gordon Braid who succumbed to Melanoma and to assist with the discovery of new treatments.
