Another good attendance to our meeting, thankyou as this always makes the meeting interesting and informative. The meeting was opened with Rotary Grace. As it has been decided Rotary Grace will be sung on Club Assembly meetings and Invocation to be used at all other meetings. A Toast to the King and the people of Australia. We welcomed one visitor Uttam Kawadkar supported by Neil Pinto. Club Assembly matters for discussion and to be ratified were projects, 24/25 #6 – one new defibrillator for Open Doors Pinnaroo Village estimated cost $2000. 24/25 #7 – Kidney Health Project – Phil Hoey - $2000 – to be provided from Gears & Beers account. 24/25 #2 – Free roam Theatre Project was not supported. The Board approved $1500 for three students to attend the National Youth Science Forum in January 2025. This is one more than budgeted for so members voted and approved the third student. The Wollundry Rotary/Gears & Beers sail has been installed at the VMG playground, waiting on Council to officially open. Discussions with Council’s Environmental Department, Christina Reid will commence shortly to discuss possible projects regarding the planting of trees or similar environmental ideas we could be involved in. Christina has agreed to speak at our meeting, date to be confirmed. Take the time to read our Rotary Downunder magazine as there are some great ideas of how clubs are redeveloping and gaining new members, plus some of the projects clubs are involved in.
