President Phil read the first newsletter from our exchange student to Austria, Heidi Shuter.
Heidi has settled in very well with her delightful family and is enjoying a full and varied program.
It has snowed regularly and she has become expert in providing Australian deserts for her classmates' birthdays.
Well done Heidi!
Incoming Exchange Student-Franziska Treber
Our Youth Director, Darren Wallace provided an update on our incoming exchange student, Franziska Treber.
Franziska is from the village of Kirrweiler in the west of Germany near the city of Landau. She is an excellent student who plays the clarinet and is also learning the guitar.
Darren has asked for a further three members to volunteer as host families. Host families are compensated by the club with a $100 allowance each week, with the student is given $50 a week to help off set living costs.
Thanks to Mark and Christine Hillis for volunteering as a host family.

heading along the Great Ocean Road to Mount Gambier We then visited the
Yorke Peninsula on our way to the Flinders Ranges and
drove the Oodnadatta Track on our way to Dalhousie Springs.
From Dalhousie we traveled the Old Ghan Heritage Trail into Alice Springs,
visiting Lambert Centre of Australia on the way Tomorrow we leave for the
Western Macdonnell Ranges then head south to the Yorke Penisula, then across
the Nullarbor, with a mandatory detour into Cook
President Phil welcomed 52 members and guests to last Tuesday's meeting.
Phil began the meeting by congratulating all members and partners with their commitment to the success of Saturday's Riverina BMW Food & Wine Festival. The team work again was great from the members of this extraordinary club with around 1,198 man hours put in during the three days of set up, festival and pull down! He also thanked the many volunteers from the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust, South Wagga Apex and Charles Sturt University.
He paid special tribute to Kev Roben and his hard working executive of Paul Milde and Doug Conkey, and acknowledged that this was an outstanding event for Wollundry Rotary with the many congratulations from patrons, stall holders and sponsors.
