Tayla Reports from Denmark

Our exchange student to Denmark, Tayla Crevatin recently sent a report and photos to the club. Sounds like she has settled in well and is enjoying the experience.

Dear Geoff,

I have been getting your newsletters, thankyou.

Sorry, about not send an email to let you know how I am I've been incredibly busy lately (settling in ect.).

I'm doing really well. I recently went to a town near Aarhus (the second biggest city in Copenhagen) for my intro camp week.

It was so much fun we met all of the other exchange students from winter 2016. We had two days with 6 hours of Danish and two day with 3 hours of Danish and 3 hours of culture shock/ homesickness ect.. Then on Thursday which by far was the best day we went into Aarhus and looked at there amazing art gallery ARoS.

My favourite art works there were Boy created by Australian artist and My Rainbow Panorama, which was on top of the museum and showed a 360 degree view of the city out of different colours of glass.

At school I don't understand a lot but it's very different to Australia, which confuses me sometimes. I also go to a language school twice a week with one third of the exchange students in my district, I think there is almost 50 of us!

Now I'm on winter holiday for a week. We are staying at my host family's friends summer house, right by the beach!

It's really beautiful! (But they also have snow on the beach which was pretty confusing!)
