A friendly reminder to all members that subs are due and should be paid by direct deposit, please.
August is Membership Month for Rotary across the world. Membership or belonging or being part of something is what makes an organisation such as ours so good. It is about a group of individuals working together for the betterment of society - even mankind! We do this through our many and varied skills and abilities, but in particular it is about taking leadership - by leading the way as individuals and as a group in helping and supporting those in need. We should all strive to bring to Rotary those who have these skills and abilities so they can be leaders in the future by simply doing what Rotarians do - serve humanity.
This week is also "Donate for Life" week - a national campaign to support organ and tissue donation. More information will be included elsewhere in the Bulletin and an email will be distributed by the Secretary.
Our Rotary colleague from Canmore, Canada emailed this last week thanking Wollundry for our donation to the Fort MCMurray Wild Fire Appeal - his email appears elsewhere in the Bulletin.
Next week District Governor Michael Milston will be visiting along with his partner Ann. Please invite your partners to attend the meeting and hear first hand about Rotary's activities at District, national and international level.
