President Phil McIntosh welcomed 68 members and guests to last Tuesday's meeting. Special guests were District Governor, Geoff Tancred and his wife Bettye.Peter Crozier gave Rotary information and relayed a letter to District 9700 from RI President, Ron Burton. Ron's letter challenged all to Engage Rotary, Change Lives.
Geoff Hamilton spoke about the Rotary Student Exchange program with Heidi Shutter being selected by our club. Heidi will be going to Austria.
John Ferguson gave a brief report on the success of the club's donation of $4,000 to the Special Education Unit at Tolland Public School. The donation was to replace stolen I-pads and it was great to see the students individually working at a variety of tasks.
