Presidents report:Many thanks to the many members who attended the meeting today, which was also the club AGM.There was nothing unexpected at the AGM and we moved through the meeting quickly and smoothly. Thanks must go to James Hamilton for getting AGM things in order and Pykie for explaining the financials in as few words as possible!In relation to Board positions, I omitted to let members know that Phil Burgess has offered to be club secretary in 2024-25, giving Peter Mackinnon a well deserved break after two years in the job. Many thanks to both Phil and Peter for stepping up.Speaking of stepping up, the role of president for 2024-25 remains vacant. It's not as big a job as you might think and you are well supported by the board. I ask that all members that have not been a president consider the role. It's important!2023 RYLA attendee Jared Roesler (aged 25) gave a very interesting talk and asked members to consider the gap between Rotary and younger people. There were some great questions and a broad discussion about the issue, which is obviously a big consideration when trying to attract younger members.Thanks also to the members that attended the club Xmas party at Downside Hall last Sunday. It was hot and stormy but the rain held off and a great time was had by all. The Tin Shed Rattlers put on a great show. Thanks to Michael Knight for managing the BBQs and to the many guests that also attended, including members of the Rotary E-Club of Brindabella and Wagga Rotaract Club.Less than 2 week until Xmas!!
