Yesterday's meeting turned out to be fairly busy but it flowed well. The number or attendees seems to be diminishing every week so could I exhort members to attend on every occasion that they can, as there was under 30 members yesterday.

The highlight of the day was our guest Belinda Crain from the multicultural centre. She gave an entertaining talk followed by her skooting around the floor with the microphone in her hand to answer questions; I then had the pleasure to present her with a Paul Harris pin for all the good she has done in her field. She was introduced and thanked by John Egan.

Attending with her was a young man Hung Kee from Myanmar who spoke no English 3 years ago but now is fluent; he told us briefly about his escape and a period in Malaysia and now settle here.

We also gave the Coolamon rotary club $8,000 as a thankyou for all there help with our Gears and Beers event.

My presidency is fast coming to an end and I sincerely thank my board and members for their unstinted help and advice. Next Monday is the last board meeting for the year, and organizing the change over is high on the agenda

Have a great week all
