President Darren opened the meeting and welcomed our visitors: David Milne, guest of Phil McIntosh and our Guest Speaker Gerrard Rosler from RYLA.

GUEST SPEAKER
Jarod Roesler was a participant in RYLA last year and is coming back as a team member for '24.
He is an inspiring young man who was glad to say that RYLA was the best thing he has done since leaving school. It has shown him that he can do a lot more with his life than he thought, and will be going to University in the coming year, something he had not thought possible.
He then gave us questions without notice on the relationships with we baby boomers and his generation. This was unfortunate as we really had no time to gather thoughts. However it did bring forward some results.
His main claim is that this generation doesn't like meetings, and would rather communicate with Social Media. They are more than willing to help in fundraising, but don't want to attend meetings as such.
A suggestion that meetings be on a Zoom type arrangement appeared to be satisfactory.
Jarod is a very impressive young man with a big future. He spoke very confidently, and the issues he raised left the group in no doubt as to how he felt we could assimilate.

THE AGM
PP David Pyke gave us a comprehensive summary of the finances of Wollundry Rotary . Suffice to say they are healthy. Very few questions were raised and the club applauded David's  effort
PP James Hamilton was appointed Public Officer, and the auditors were confirmed. A satisfactory result!
There is no President Elect as yet, but the Board has agreed to carry over to the following year intact!

The club also endorsed a donation of $5000 to the Salvation Army.
ROTARY MEAL DEAL
Neil Pinto thanked all those who had participated in the last round of the Meal Deal, however he said he was very disappointed with the overall response of members. Because of the difficulty he experienced getting people to fulfil their commitment, he resigned from the job of organiser. President Darren commented that the Meal Deal is a fantastic way to get to know other members and he hoped that it could be renewed in the New Year.

ROTARACT CONFERENCE
Neil Schirmer informed members that there is a Rotaract conference in Murrumbateman in January. Clare Lawler, Rotaract is asking for assistance to achieve a target of 25 more participants. It costs $1,500 to sponsor a participant. Apparently a request to our Projects committee has been submitted for us to sponsor the Wagga Community Princess.

Committee Vacancies
PP Doug Sutton is seeking members for the Membership Committee.
Neil Schirmer is retiring from the social committee and is looking for a replacement.

Geoff Breust invited us to the Aero Club's Christmas Party. It's 6pm Sunday evening at the Aeroclub rooms. $50 per head.
