Phil confirmed that the $2000 to the South Wagga Club is to put a roof over the container at Willans Hill.
Any payments to RAWCS this year will attract an administration fee of 5%. That is concessional as other organisations charge substantially more than that, i.e, Shelter Boxes were up to 35%. The 5% is for all payments up to $500K. Donations exceeding $500K will attract a fee of 4.5%. Good luck getting a single donation of that magnitude!
Occasional Visit. Preso Darren has organized a visit to Borambola Wines on 26 September. Tim McMullen suggested that you would need two hours to get there, enjoy the experience and travel home. After some discussion it was suggested that the date be changed to another date as that meeting date is immediately before the Gears & Beers weekend where we would get the final briefing before the event. Over to Dazza and Tim for an amendment.
Rotaract are having a trivia night on 23 September. No details as to the venue. More details at a later date.
Centenary Legacy torch Relay
Doug Conkey, Legacy President, let us have information about the relay on this Thursday August 3. This is commemorating 100 years of Legacy. This is the Legacy relay encompassing all 44 Legacy Clubs throughout Australia. The 28 participants will carry the torch in the Wagga Wagga leg and will terminate at Legacy House in Thompson Street at about 10.30 to 11am Doug will carry the final leg of the relay and light the cauldron. The relay commenced in Pozieres in France on 23 April 2023 and will complete the journey in Melbourne on 13 October 2023. Very good promotion for Legacy.
The working bee set down for this Thursday at the container at the Myer car park has been postponed until a future date.

The Club budgets have been sent to members by James Hamilton. The Club and Community budgets were displayed on the overhead and James went through the budgets. All seemed in good order and a couple of questions and statements were made.

Gears & Beers Budget
Phil McIntosh presented the Gears & Beers budget which showed a profit of about $100K after distribution to other assisting organisations of about $22K. The registrations are down on the pre covid numbers
