The familiar routine to get our meeting underway was observed - Grace, Toast to Charles and Australians, no visiting Rotarians and then acknowledging our guests.

A quick summary of the last weeks activities followed - Eftpos equipment and banking issues, upcoming Food and Wine Cmtee meeting, Probus seeking a chairperson for their AGM,  and confirmation of the facilitators meeting on 28 Feb - in lieu of our luncheon meeting on that day.

There were announcements regarding next weeks meeting - a vocational visit to PCYC, at their new building in Fitzhardinge Street. Phil also floated the idea that the carpark under the PCYC could be considered at a venue for our Saturday markets........for rainy days, or permanently?

David Post took the floor, and spruiked a movie premiere coming up on Friday 17th Feb. This will support Rural Outreach Counselling, and tickets cost $20, and must be pre purchased. The Movie is called "The Road Dance"

Another fundraiser coming up for Rural Outreach Counselling is an art Auction, and that will be later in March. The Little Yellow House in Thompson Street is supporting the event. The aim is to sell around 100 canvases, at $100 so we hope new talent is unearthed.

The Food and Wine Festival committee is chaired by Adrian Whiting. They met for an "On-Site" meeting on Monday morning, where the festival layout was discussed. Early decisions included moving off Morrow street to avoid traffic control costs, and adjusting Wine locations to accomodate new garden layouts.

The number 17 was drawn from the bedpan, and John Flynn was announced as the winner.
