President Darren opened the last meeting for the year giving thanks for the many good things we enjoy. He then proposed a toast to all the members of our Rotary Club. He thanked all for their support throughout the year and said he is looking forward to handing over the reins on Saturday.
Darren also welcomed our two guests Ken Dillon and Ross Kennedy.
As one who likes to break conventions, Darren wore a celebratory shirt instead of our new uniform. It looks to be one of a kind. Could this be a part of our Summer Collection?

BUDGET 24/25

Past President and Past Treasurer David (Pykie) Pike used the projected images to help us make sense of the budget for the year.
The main takeaways are that we are in a healthy financial position. Our annual fees will be reduced to $250 members and a first year new member fee of $150 (prorated). Members can contribute to the Rotary Foundation if they wish by adding an amount of their choice to their invoice. To be a Centurion you need to contribute $100. It is totally optional.
Our Community Account including money set aside to run our events, has a balance in excess of $100,000 For more detailed information please refer to the budget documents which were emailed to all members.
SICK LIST

Doug Sutton asked members to be aware of any members who are unwell. If you know a member is unwell let others know by email, via club runner, so that the sick can be supported through contact. Rick Priest was unwell and is now recovering at home and Bob Willis is still on the sick list. Good to see Croz back at club on Tues along with Stuart Heriot.
SVDP AND BUNNINGS BARBECUE
On Sunday the 7th July the Bunnings Barbecue will be manned by volunteers for St Vincent De Paul. The Barbecue operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Takings will go to the Society for assistance to the Poor of our City. The Vinnies Conference at Kooringal which is made up of about ten members of similar ages to our Cub members, is responsible for the day and needs some help. Shifts of a couple of hours will be arranged. If you can help out please contact me: Doug Sutton at dokay@bigpond.com or 0418451563. If we wear our new shirts and coats, it will be good advertising for our club.
