New Member
A highlight of today was the induction of our newest member Shane Carroll.
Shane and his wife Mary have just sold their business, South West Irrigation, and now he is looking to give a bit back to the community which he says supported him so well. Shane was introduced by Mark Hillis, who has been friend for a few years.
He loves his AFL , but his choice of club resulted in a few groans!
Science Challenge
PP Frank Fuller is looking for assistance with trestles and tables at the Science Challenge, this year being held at the Mater Dei High School Hall. The date is March 7th. Please let him know if you can give a hand!
District Conference
Gerry Gerlach again reported that the conference is on in Griffith on the last weekend of March. Gerry has booked accommodation at the Grand Hotel. The cost is $170 per room for two. A good program has been prepared and should be fun. Speak to Gerry if you would like to book. The Kapooka Band will be playing on Saturday evening, and you could win the Charleston Competition!
Further to this is the Ride for Polio which is being held across the District. Wagga clubs are riding Lockhart, wagga Coolamon. You will receive a T shirt if you would like to be in it. Please see John Ferguson.
While on his feet, PP John mentioned the Movie night Friday March 1, and the Peace Day events. He also got in a plug for the very best in Tennis being held at the grass courts in Albury this weekend if you are in town!.

International Fellowship of Cricketing Rotarians

David Benn would like to highlight this event which will take place in Cairns Nth Qld in June. Could be a good place to visit if you are travelling north for the winter. David says the Festival will be good fun and an opportunity to meet up with fellow Rotarians from around Australia and overseas.
Sergeants Session.
PP Peter Crozier managed to squeeze a few coins out of the group, but his main target was Wollundry's golf doyen, David Byfield. Not only did he win the lucky door prize twice, he returned a score of 30 in a current play. Extraordinary, and he paid dearly.
