President Paul opened the meeting with Rotary Grace and welcomed a number of guests including Phil Hoey (Guest Speaker), Margaret Priest, Ward Gaiter, Tania Tellus D.O.N. The Forrest Centre, and Bianca Lubke our outward bound exchange student. Paul also welcomed back to the club Richard Baguley and Mark Hillis who had been on the sick list and John Gray back from a trip.
Paul again reminded us about:
- Changeover dinner on Tues 26th June. Please send in your acceptance or otherwise along with your dinner payment.
- Treeplanting postponed until 15th July.
- Lillier Lodge dinner on 11th July.
Paul also reported that the budget for 2018/19 had been approved by the Board and would be presented to members later in the meeting.

NEW MEMBER
Ward Gaiter was inducted into our club by President Paul and assisted by his sponsor David Benn.
Our newest member is a hotelier and the proprietor of The Duke Of Kent Hotel. He and his wife Danielle came to Wagga 12 months ago. He was invited to Rotary by David and had misgivings until he realised that half the members were seen frequenting his bar. He knew then he'd be right at home. Members welcomed David with applause. He will be joining the Projects committee and holding the classification of hotelier.
SERGEANT'S SESSION
Peter Clucas was today's Sergeant and fined Mark Hillis who he was pleased to see had regained his sense of humour and lost some weight. He then went on to fine all those who use face book and those who don't, achieving his aim of fining the club. He gave us some new facebook acronyms which he though would be peculiar to our membership. Here are some examples: BFF (best friend's funeral), BTW (bring the wheel chair) CGU (can't get up), DTAF (don't trust a fart), LOL (living on Lipitor), OMG (ouch my groin), TLC (totally lost continence), TTYL (talk to you louder), WTF (wet the floor).

FORREST CENTRE CHEQUE PRESENTATION
President Paul presents a cheque for forty thousand dollars to Tania Tellus D.O.N. of the Forrest Centre. The money will be used to purchase equipment for the new Palliative Care Hospice. Tania thanked members for the generous donation and said it would assist greatly in providing patients with quality end of life care. The money was raised through our annual Food and Wine Festival at which staff from the Forrest Centre assisted. All agreed that the money has gone to a very worthwhile project.
BUDGET 2018/19
The budget was presented by Adrian Whiting who had submitted it to the Board which had given its approval.
After a brief discussion a motion to pass the Budget was moved by James Hamilton and seconded by David Benn. All voted on the voices there were no objections.

Club fees will remain as last year i.e. $450 plus $50 for Foundation. For those who pay to be centurions i.e. give $100 to Foundation the fee will be $550 for the year. The $50 or $100 donation to Foundation is tax deductible for those who still pay tax.
