Denis Shean is the chairman of this committee, and in his introductory remarks, he told us of format changes that will apply to the awards this year.

ImageRob Fuller was called upon to introduce the first nominee, and that was Maureen Foley, employed by Dentist Gordon Saggers. See photo at right.

Both Rob and Gordon were effusive in their comments on Maureen’s qualities as practice manager, and Maureen was gracious in acceptance of the award.

ImageJohn Ferguson introduced the recipient of the second award to be made today. He called Jacy Dundas to come up to the front, and related that Jacy was the functions manager at the Wagga Wagga Country Golf club.  Jacy is pictured at left with Club Manager Derek O’Brien.

John reckoned that a quarter to half of our members may have dealt with Jacy at the club. He gave a summary of her work, and the importance of the club within our community.

Denis, in summing up, advised that Wollundry Rotary could proceed with two more awards in the new year, and called on members to actively look for suitable nominees for Pride of Workmanship recognition.
