Poetry Readings

Some members had volunteered to read or recite poetry. Paul Milde introduced the session with an email from Burmo, an apology because he was at a cocktail party with politicians, and some history of the iconic ballad “Waltzing Maztilda”.  Then we had five readers:-

Kevin Watts, a short ditty on the secret of Longetivity.
Michael Georgiou, two poems written by his son Nicholas, talent waiting for discovery.
Michael Knight, read The Accounting Cat – Liquidity’s not there!!
Bruce Spinks developed the argument, “has God got fleas”
David Benn got away with murder, innuendo on a medical theme, and no mention of “penis”. He also dealt with Dogs and uninvited guests on the farm.

We ran out of time, and there is a backlog of poetry still to be recited, so we can expect more in the forthcoming weeks.  John Hawkins, Burmo, Phil Mackintosh, George Thomas and Paul Murray are still to perform.
