George Thomas’ Banner presentation:

George has been on the road, and had made up at Katherine, collecting a banner. He told us that these isolated clubs on the grey nomad circuit often had more visitors than members, and he also made up at Karratha Rotary Club, where the local salt mine, a Cargill enterprise, donated 20 tonnes of salt, which was bagged by the members to sell for pool salt – an arduous task.

Country Hope Concerts:

Greg Conkey reminded members that two concerts in support of Country Hope will be held shortly.

Saturday, 23rd November     John Paul Young

Sunday, 24th November        Darren Coggan

Tickets for both these concerts are available from the Civic Theatre.

Kurrajong Early Intervention Fair:

Andrew Irvine reminded members that we had a commitment to erect tents for the Kurrajong Early Intervention centre at their fair on Thursday, in the civic precinct. Around 25 shelters would be required, and they need to be up by 3.00pm, and pulled down again at 7.30pm. Andrew has some names, but if you can add to the numbers, extra hands will be welcomed.
