The topic of the presentation will be: “Hydro’s Indigenous Relations and Hydro’s Future Concerns”.  The speaker will be, Leah Manson, Team Lead on BC Hydro’s Indigenous Relations Team.

 

This is Leah Manson’s bio:

 

Leah is a Team Lead on BC Hydro’s Indigenous Relations Team, focused on strategy and policy initiatives. Her team works on bringing practical solutions to complex challenges, including First Nations co-ownership, calls for power, and agreement negotiations. Leah worked extensively with First Nations to develop BC Hydro’s United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Implementation Plan and is now focused on working across the company and with First Nations to implement the plan. Prior to joining BC Hydro, Leah practiced law, with a focus on corporate-commercial litigation.
