Jan Gisborne.

Jan had a mild case of polio as a child so has become passionate about it as an adult.
She took trip to India in 2004 and a trip to Nigeria in 2007.
She took part in the National Immunizing Days as a representative from district 5040.
Polio plus was started as a club project from a Philippines club. This is project that spread!
There were 350. 000 new cases in 1988, which was reduced to just 700 new cases by the late 90's but had grown again to 1652 last year.
Good news this year as we have only 328 so far.
We are winning.
Nigeria was the worst case because the locals stopped immunizing.
There is some Rotary in Nigeria but not as much as in India
Going on NID changes the way you look at life and the world.
Many volunteers are needed throughout the world.
Local volunteers get tired and we can touch so many lives this way.
Bill Bourlet thanked Jan.
