The Rotary Club of Vancouver is a service club dedicated to improving the lives of others both in our community and around the world. Established in 1913 as the 1st club in British Columbia, and the 2nd in Canada, our Club has a long history of service and community leadership. Our membership is currently over 115 and growing, with the largest sector of growth in the 30-50 age range. Our club was recognized in 2020 by District 5040 for our continued growth in younger members. We continue to strive to be a diverse, inclusive club.

Our committees, specifically International Service and Community Service support a variety of projects that will have the greatest impact in the areas the committee members deem most valuable. Examples of areas of focus are education, food security, mother/child support, senior care, etc.

Other long-term projects, such as the annual Bike-A-Thon, in its 36th year in 2020, has provided well over $3 Million dollars in support of the Rotary Hearing Foundation which has seen the establishment of the Rotary Hearing Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital and the Rotary Hearing Center at University of British Columbia.

The Rotary World Help Network, of which we are a founding member, has brought together over 38 other Rotary Clubs in BC and has seen the shipment of more than 400 containers full of medical equipment and computers to third-world countries amounting to over $100 Million dollars.

In addition to all of the very good community efforts we do as a club - we also have a lot of fun!

Normally, our Club meets every Tuesday at 12 Noon sharp, at the Terminal City Club, 837 West Hastings Street. Luncheon meetings end promptly at 1:30 p.m. Currently, during times of COVID-19 restrictions, we are meeting on-line with the hope that we will be able to once again meet in person in the not too distant future. The timing of our meetings have, as a result, altered slightly, starting at 12 noon and ending at 1:00. There is opportunity to stay on-line a little longer for some social chat.

If you would like to be a member of this active, thriving Club, then please attend a meeting as our guest. We would be pleased to introduce you to the Club, its members and answer any questions you may have about membership.
