Club Day: Our Club, Our People
Sep. 22, 2026 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This week, the spotlight turns inward. Club Day is a celebration of who we are and a check-in on where we're headed. We'll honour longtime members whose impact still shapes the club today, reflect on the approach that has carried us through 114 years, and feature our Member Spotlight welcoming the newest faces around our tables. Each committee will share its goals and vision for the year ahead, and we'll take stock of how our year is going so far. We also want to hear from you: members will have a chance to share feedback on what's working, what we need to do, and how we can do it better. Come ready to celebrate, reflect, and shape the year ahead!

Leading Through Change
Sep. 29, 2026 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The world is definitely different then when I went to college back in 1985! What is more shocking is that the world of 2027 is drastically different than 2017! Given that, how are universities in general and business schools in particular preparing students to enter into the workforce. My time with you will be a mixture of research insights, personal observations and data from student and employer surveys as we think about how students are navigating their entry into work in a way that is dramatically different then how any of us entered into the workforce.

NO Meeting - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Sep. 30, 2026

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

This federal statutory holiday was created through legislative amendments made by Parliament.

Wear orange

Both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30.

Orange Shirt Day is a commemorative day led by Indigenous communities to raise awareness about the intergenerational impacts of residential schools on children, families, and communities. It honours Indigenous children who were lost in the residential school system.

The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced. This day reminds us that “Every Child Matters”.

On September 30, all Canadians are encouraged to wear orange to honour the thousands of Survivors of residential schools.

Practical AI for Everyday Work
Oct. 27, 2026 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

There's a lot of hype and fear around AI. Owen Lu's approach is to keep it simple and meet people where they are. In this session, Owen will share practical ways professionals and business owners can use AI to save time, improve productivity, and simplify everyday tasks - no technical background required. Drawing on his experience helping companies integrate AI into the workplace, he'll cover what AI is genuinely good for, when you don't need it at all, and how small efficiencies can help businesses thrive and people live more balanced lives.
