Who do you know who is remarkable - someone whose story or expertise would captivate a room full of experienced business and community leaders?
We're looking to build a short list of headliner speakers to invite to our upcoming Rotary Club of Vancouver meetings. Think thought leaders, change makers, or trailblazers in business, sports, innovation, public service, or philanthropy.
Take a quick scroll through your LinkedIn connections. You might spot someone you haven’t thought about in a while who would be perfect.

Meeting Chair: Paul Martin

Sargent-at-Arms: Mindy Tulsi-Ingram
This week, we welcomed Keith Lloyd to the Rotary Club of Vancouver.
Keith is a "Business Surgeon" who came to speak to the Club about Elevator Pitches, ... about the "do's and the don'ts"....
Thank you Mindy, for bringing in a long term friend to present to our Club!
The 5 Critical Components to a GREAT Elevator Pitch
A great elevator pitch is a brief, engaging introduction to you and your business that sparks curiosity and connection—without trying to close a sale. Its purpose is to leave your audience wanting to learn more.
Why Your Pitch Matters
First impressions form quickly.
People remember how you make them feel.
A strong pitch opens doors by planting a seed for future conversations.
The 5 Key Components:
Clear Identity – Clearly and simply state who you are and what you do, using language that a 10-year-old can understand.
Who You Help – Be specific about your audience and the challenges they face, demonstrating empathy and relevance.
The Problem You Solve – Highlight the pain points your clients struggle with. Make them feel understood and connect emotionally by painting a picture of the “before” state.
The Results You Deliver – Show the transformation or benefits your clients experience (e.g., save time, grow revenue, sleep better at night). Focus on outcomes over features.
A Strong Close – End with a call to connect: “If you know someone struggling with X, I’d love to connect.” Keep it humble, helpful, and people-centered.
Bonus Tips:
A Pitch Isn’t a Sale – It’s the start of a conversation. What you do after the pitch—follow up, stay visible, and build trust—is what ultimately earns clients.
The Power of Follow-Up – Most sales happen between the 5th and 12th contact, yet most people give up too soon. Persist with genuine curiosity and connection.
Final Thoughts:
“A strong pitch doesn’t sell; it earns you the right to keep talking.”
“A great pitch gets you noticed, but great follow-up ensures you’re remembered.”
Let today’s best pitches open the right doors for tomorrow.
