Franco will officially hand over his presidency to Past President Paul Martin, who has agreed to take over this important role until the end of the year.

Program:
This week, we welcomed with District Governor Drew Antrobus from the Rotary Club of Richmond - Sunset.
Drew is a Paul Harris Fellow +4, a member of the Polio Plus Society, a Foundation Benefactor. In his 35 years of service, Drew has served both at the Club Level and the District Levels.
Drew came to provided an update on the district, and reminded our members of the importance of their commitment to Rotary.
Rotarians stand for change; we as Rotarians empower through unity.
The Rotary International Vision Statement:
Together we seek a world
Where people unite and tale action
to create lasting change across the Globe, our communities and ourselves
Today, there are 1.4 million members, in 35,000+ clubs in 220 countries.
Drew reminded our members of the fellowship groups Rotary offers, where people from around the globe come virtually together to share their passions and hobbies of various kinds.
He also reminded us of Rotary's 7 areas of focus: Peacebuilding & Conflict Prevention, Disease Prevention & Treatment, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Maternal & Child Health, Basic Education & Literacy, Community Economic Development, and Environment.
Drew gave us ideas on how to engage members through Community Partnerships, by sharing success stories and by encouraging everyone to actively participate in club activities.
Lastly, he spoke about the Rotary Foundation and how your donation creates lasting global impact:
Polio Eradication: A leader in the fight to end polio, reducing cases by 99.9% since 1985. To date, Rotary International and its partners have immunized more than 3 billion children against polio in 122 countries.
Efficient Use of Funds: Over 90% of donations go directly to service projects.
Community Empowerment: Funds local and global grassroots initiatives.
Disaster Response: Provides emergency aid for crises and natural disasters.
Education & Peace: Supports scholarships and the Rotary Peace Fellowship for conflict resolution.
The Board of Directors of the Rotary Club Vancouver sincerely thank Drew for his visit to the club.
