We are focussing on our members for this meeting. We will be getting to know a couple of our members a little better and will be learning more about our revised mentorship program.
As Club President Franco Gallo has said and as we can all attest to, the 'club experience'. A large piece of that is how new members are on-boarded hence improving our mentorship program.

Welcome to our guests, new and returning, as well as our own members who have taken time out of busy schedules to attend. We are grateful to see new faces, remember guests are ALWAYS welcome at our meetings.
We are saddened to hear of the passing of DG Drew Antrobus' mother. On behalf of our club, President Franco has extended sincere condolences. Drew's club visit will be rescheduled.
World Polio Day is October 24th. Save the date to join Vancouver Walk to End Polio. Join a group of club members who will be participating in the walk from city hall to Science World, and then on to a social at Smith's Irish Pub. See above for link for more info.

RCoV quarterly update
Franco provided an update on where we are at as a club and how we are managing with the changes made to both our member meetings and how the Board is functioning.
The feedback to the changes in the member meetings -- concentrating on a particular focus for each lunch meeting, reducing the number of speakers while elevating the quality of the speakers we have, and introducing a monthly social evening gathering, has been very positive.
It was noted that with increased attendance at the lunch meetings, the vibrancy increases incredibly. This speaks to the club experience for our members and guests. Everyone walks away feeling very positive. This is key to the future growth and sustainability of our club. We need bums in seats at every meeting. To do this there only one thing for us all to focus on: bring more people to our meetings.
RCoV's Road to 100
Jason Boudreau & Rohan Aurora presented a road map to achieving the club goal of having 100 attendees at our meetings. It includes:
members reaching out to members who do not often attend
increasing our corporate memberships
bringing as many guests as possible
Rohan's belief that interesting people are looking for interesting people to connect with. Our members are definitely interesting people, we need to reach out to others and bring them in the door to allow for the opportunity to build relationships. It may take multiple invitations before they agree to come but persevere, eventually they'll come and hopefully enjoy themselves enough to return.
If you have any suggestions on how we can build our membership, please reach out to Jason and/or Rohan. Believing whole heartedly that we can fill the room, our board is working really hard to build the club and need your help and support to do so.
