Don Evans has been a Rotarian for more than 30 years. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver (2002-2003) and is active with District 5040.  He was named our District’s Rotarian of the Year in 2014. Don is a Paul Harris Society Member and a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation.
 
Don has a major passion for railways and railway preservation, and is President Emeritus of the West Coast Railway Association.  He was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for his active community involvement and was named 2005 Business Person of the Year by the Squamish Chamber of Commerce for his work with the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in that community. He recently received a Caring Canadian Award. 
 
A resident of North Vancouver, he is married to wife Deb, has two children from a previous marriage and four grandchildren, and enjoys classic cars, hiking, photography, cycling and playing piano.
