Aloha,

Michael and I are back from a splendid vacation to Alaska, visiting our families and taking in the quaint Bavarian village of Leavenworth, WA.

Our guest speakers on Wednesday were 3 fine HPD officers who work the Mililani, Wahiawa, North Shore area. The Sergeant reported the following: * we have 5 beats in the Mililani area * during the 2 week period of July 3 - 16 the following occurred in Mililani: stolen vehicles (4), Burglary (13), UMV (18), as well as thefts, graffiti complaints and shoplifting. * GOOD NEWS: 2 arrests were made of the major players. * homelessness is not a crime and the police can only do something fi permission is given from the land owner.

SAFETY TIPS: * criminals are lazy and must move quickly SO: * lock car and home doors and do not leave items in full view to be stolen. * to prevent on-line scams, protect devices with password, fire walls and pop-up blockers. Protect your financial information. *Use Credit instead of Debit cards and check statements and accounts often. * look for HTPS or HDPTS on an internet site for authenticity.
