Dear Fellow Rotarians:
What a month…..we had the Sunrise Club’s Pig and Swig, our 2nd Annual Shredding event (thank you Donna for coordinating that), volunteered at the Monster Dash, (thank you Sharon for getting us up at the crack of dawn to help with this great event) and a group of us went to the Halloween party at the Elks.
Now we are getting ready for November and our first ever “Palettes for Polio.” This, as you know, is going to be on Saturday, November 18 at the Rumley Gallery located in the lobby of the King Kamehameha Hotel.  We have received our first two palettes from One Gallery and are expecting another 30 from both the artists of One Gallery and the Rumley Gallery.  We will need some folks to sign up to bring pupus.  Remember, there is no cost for this.  100% of the proceeds will go directly to Polio Plus, 70% through Kona Mauka Club and 30% through Hilo Bay Club.
This is the event to bring friends to.  I’ve also contacted Quinn’s (waiting to hear back from them, Patrick’s sister is the owner) concerning blocking some tables for us so we may walk over there and have dinner after the event.
As we approach the holiday season we have so much to be thankful for.  Grateful for the family and friends we have and more than that, we share our blessings by the work we do as volunteers in our community and service above self.  Thank you all.

As always, Laura
