President’s Message

Maternal & Child Health Month

April is Maternal and Child Health Month. Rotary makes high quality health care available to vulnerable mothers and children so that they can live longer and grow stronger.

An estimated 5.9 million children die each year be-cause of malnutrition, inadequate health care and poor sanitation, all of which can be prevented.

The Rotary Foundation provides education, immunization, birth kits and mobile health clinics to communities in need so that they can take control of their own maternal and infant health care.

We should all be proud of belonging to such a caring organization. Please continue to support these efforts by donating to the Rotary Foundation.

The time is fast approaching to our 50th Anniversary Celebration. As you know the date is May 6 and the venue is the Sheraton at Keauhou. The Jubilee Committee has been working hard to make this a time of reflection and celebration. Members, past members and friends will be gathering to have fun and fellowship. Please let the committee know of your intentions to attend or not.

Happy spring to all!
