Dear Fellow Rotarians:

What does Rotary mean to you?  No, I mean it, when was the last time you actually thought about why you joined Rotary in the first place?

For many of us it was a friend that brought us to our first club meeting.  We walked in and were immediately welcomed as if we were family.  Then came the…….”what committee do you want to be on?”  And you realized that as a matter of fact you do want to be on a committee.  You do want to make a difference.  Before you know it twenty years have gone by.  You sit back and realize just how much you, one person, has made a difference in your community and the world through Rotary Foundation.

And that’s not all, there’s the friendships we have made throughout the world.  People we never would have had the honor to know if we had not walked into our first Rotary meeting.  We need to share this wonderful experience by bringing in more of our friends and family into Rotary, if not our club, sponsor them in another club, but bring them in.

I am forever grateful to Rotary, and I hope you are too.  Here’s to the next twenty years of service.

Thank you all,
As always,
Laura
