The members of the Rotary Club of Kapaa past and present joined together with prospective new members to hold our "30th Anniversary and Membership Mixer" on April 17th.  It was great to see Past President's Fahy Bailey, Pamela Brown, Darren Schneck as well as our guests and four speakers who came to pay tribute to the ongoing support of our club. Ipo Torio thanked the club for their ongoing support and recognized President James Norman for organizing the Ike Aina Music Festival this past November which raised $10,000 to go to the school's food sustainability programs. Tommy Noyes, executive with Friends of Kamalani Playground spoke about the ongoing symbiotic relationship of our two organizations supporting each other. Christian Naea  appreciated the ongoing support of more than twenty for the Boys and Girls Club Kapaa clubhouse and particularly their basketball court and security system, both built and installed by Kapaa Rotary and the community. And Daniel Hamada, Principal of Kapaa High School , is excited and supportive of Rotary's efforts to bring financial education to each student through the Junior Achievment Programs.
