Previously employed as the VP Operations of Aqua Engineers and its two subsidiaries, A-Vac LLC and Briant Construction Co. as RME, Vice President and General Manager holding the General Contractors License for Briant Construction Co., prior to that, as Vice President and Manager of Amfac Sugar Kauai. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Bradley University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is a licensed General Contractor in the State of Hawaii. |

Sex trafficking of minors in Hawaii

Lyla is a long-time member of the Rotary Club of Honolulu and served several terms as District 5000 New Generations Chair. She is also the Founder/former CEO of Kids Voting Hawaii, the statewide youth voting program implemented in 1996 with Rotary Clubs on all islands. Professionally, Lyla is an author, professional speaker, resiliency facilitator, and career educator with Lyla Berg & Associates. She is currently the host on “Island Focus,” a new television series on ‘Olelo Community Television.
Lyla is Co-coordinator of our Rotary District 5000 initiative to end sex-trafficking of children in Hawaii. To that end, she will speak about our District’s project and actions that we might take, individually and as a club, to increase awareness and inspire advocacy for the protection of children |
