Rotary, District 5000 will have two booths at the Children and Youth Day! They need some help!  So please sign up if you are available.  Show your RCOH values by helping for our Keiki! 

THE STORY OF CHILDREN & YOUTH DAY

In 1994, the Hawai‘i State Legislature and Governor established Children and Youth Day (CYD) in Hawai‘i as the first Sunday of every October to celebrate and honor our children and youth and the special contributions they make to our community. After much community discussion, Act 30 of 1997 was passed to dedicate the entire month of October as Children and Youth Month in Hawai‘i.

Below is information that you will need. 

PARKING

• Free Parking is currently available at the Civic Center Municipal Lot (entrance will only be accessed via Beretania Street) and Kalanimoku building (entrance to be announced but in the past was on Punchbowl Street).
• Street parking is also free.

ORIENTATION

• Since the orientation packet now only consists of the orientation book, those who were not able to attend the orientation you should be emailed the book.
• The orientation book will be made accessible via digital means and posted to the CYD website when completed.
• Also, Rick Tabor will share the information upon your arrival as he did attend the Orientation.
