Kahauiki Curbing, Playground, and Landscaping Proj

Come help out at Kahauiki Village on Saturday, May 8^th from 8 am to 12 pm at the new playground that was just completed.  The Arcadia Group of Companies recently donated $50,000 to build a Tot playground at Kahauiki and was installed by our Rotarian, Dave Hamill and dedicated on February 16, 2021.

Rotary needs a group of at least 5 and up to 10 that will help to:  1) shovel soil that will be brought to playground to construct a slope from the playground curb, and 2) replace the sod that was removed and plant it on the slope to provide a safer play area, or 3) work on is the rec center area, which will be filled with gravel.  There will be one group each from Hickam Pearl Harbor, Honolulu Sunrise, and Metro; the clubs that have been vital to Kahauiki from the beginning.

The materials will be provided but some equipment and manpower are required to do the project.  Bring garden gloves, and we are short one wheelbarrow, if anyone has one and can transport it there, and a couple more metal rakes and hoes to level off the soil.
