Who: Join us at Rotarians at Work Day to help care for the Earth and make Honolulu a better and cleaner place.
What: Rotarians and other volunteers (300 people) will be picking up trash along the Pearl Harbor Historic Trail (PHHT). This is a collaborative effort between multiple organizations and the City and County of Honolulu
Where: PHHT at Waipio Point (along Waipio Point Access Road, after Waipahu High School). See LOCATION MAP.
When: Saturday, April 24 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (we will likely finish earlier).
How: REGISTER BELOW. Once we have 10 registrants, we will close the event, so sign up soon! Karyn and I will provide more information and waiver forms after you register. The City is being COVID safe, so limiting groups to 10 people max.
This project is part of Rotary's "Ridge to Reef" effort where clubs across the state will be doing enrivonmental-focused projects. In conjunction with Surfrider Foundation, we will also be doing data collection to describe the quantity and type of trash being collected to assist with future clean-up efforts and analyzing pollution characteristics, patterns, and prevetion measures.
It will be HOT. Please pring personal supplies like water, hats, and sunscreen and gloves. The Club will provide other supplies. See WHAT TO BRING.
