Widows Harvest
Posted by Rem Cooper
Earl Story, Ken Robinson, and myself worked with two of the Widow's Harvest employees to stain and paint porches and handicap ramps.
In a way it was nice work in a the Widow's Ministries employees on such a close level. We learned more about the organization and the process that goes into choosing which women receive assistance... We also learned that the ministry is working with local high schools on a regular basis to help these women with their household maintenance... Maybe there is an opportunity for our Interact Club to join in next time?
I believe we should continue to foster a relationship with the folks at the Widow's Harvest as it is a very underserved/well-disserving part of our community, and the recipients are always so appreciative of the help!
Thanks again to Ken and Earl for rocking out this weekend and getting er' done with a smile on their faces!
